Inaugurates 14th President
Challenge
Design a series of events that take advantage of the rare opportunity to inaugurate Johns Hopkins University’s new president — only its 14th in more than 135 years. Use it to set a tone for the next era, touching the institution’s diverse audiences.
Approach
Feats engaged past supporters and helped Hopkins nurture new relationships at an evening reception honoring President Ronald Daniels’ appointment. An official installation ceremony followed the next day, crafted to reflect the magnitude of the occasion and the spirited nature of the new Presidency. The events incorporated students who demonstrated recurrent institutional themes of community, academic opportunity and global involvement.
Impact
The first JHU inauguration in years drew a record crowd and reinforced newly evolving institutional themes. An effusive client thanked Feats for its unseen/behind the scenes efforts as much as for the exemplary pomp & circumstance of the live events.
