Chevy Chase Bank Branch Openings

Challenge                                                                                                                                              Develop branch office grand opening strategy to engage new potential customers and drive bank account openings.  

Insight                                                                                                                                                            To create a sense that Chevy Chase Bank was a community institution; Feats determined that developing an experience to target families with young children would drive the most traffic to the events.  Feats crafted a storybook-themed event that aligned itself with Chevy Chase Bank’s tagline “There’s no place like Chevy Chase Bank.”  Activities combined classic stories with modern values for children around themes of saving and the value of money.  The event was packaged to be easily erected – high value, high impact – over 20 times per year throughout the region.  Bank staff received theatrical training to enhance their ability to engage with attendees of the events.

Impact                                                                                                                                                            On average, the highly visible events attracted more attendees than expected, and the storybook theme was a best seller.  The staff was particularly affected by the campaign, and used their training to raise the level of service at each branch.
